1. The despatch date you select when completing your order is the date we despatch your order from our lab - it is not the day that it will be delivered to your chosen destination. Please allow 1-3 working days for delivery from selected date of despatch.
2. The postage and packaging cost covers the cost of 1st class postage, envelopes and order handling.
3. Postage costs are based on the weight of your order. If you want to check the cost of posting an order you can generate an order (ensuring you choose the right size of greeting card), then go to the checkout, enter an address (including the post code). The post and handling charge will be calculated automatically.
4. You can choose to have your order sent back to you (as you may wish to add a message before handing or posting the order to your chosen recipient). In this case we will post the order to you with a blank envelope inside. Please remember that when you order a large greeting card that you want sent back to you the cost of the postage may be higher as we have to use a large envelope.
First Class Post in the UK – what you need to know:
Although 90% of First Class post arrives the day after it’s been posted, Roayl Mail doesn’t guarantee delivery, therefore we recommend that you allow 1 - 3 working days for delivery to the recipient from the ‘Despatch’ date that you select after personalising your chosen product.
Valentine's Day:
Order by 2pm on February 9th to ensure delivery in time for Valentine's Day via Royal Mail First Class delivery. Orders can still be placed up to 2pm on the 13th February and delivered before 2pm on Valentine's Day if Special Delivery is chosen.
Christmas:
Post takes longer to deliver in the weeks leading up to Christmas so we recommend that from December 1st you allow 4-5 days for 1st class post to arrive from the Despatch Date you choose.
Card Town believes it’s preferable for your personalised order (especially a greeting card) to arrive 2-3 days early rather than a day late.

*Special Delivery:
A Special Delivery order placed on the Card Town website before 2pm (Monday to Friday) is guaranteed by the Post Office to be delivered to most UK post codes by 1.00pm the next day. See Royal Mail Special Delivery details at http://www.royalmail.com for exceptions to next day delivery times
The Post Office may deliver on a Saturday but they don’t guarantee it.
Remember, Special Deliveries require a signature when delivered. If you think there won’t be anyone available to sign for the delivery then we suggest you use 1st class postage or have the Special Delivery sent to a different address (where you know someone will be available to sign for it). If a Special Delivery isn’t signed for at the address it has been delivered to it is returned to the Post Office and has to be either picked up by the recipient in person or it will be re-delivered by the Post Office.
